In this television segment Professor Liesl Jones joins Professor Ayana Alexander-Street to explain the purpose of the Lehman College Women in Science Program. Its purpose is to increase the number of women in STEM disciplines. This segment showcases also five Bronx public high school students enrolled in the program this year: Edekira Liberato from DeWitt Clinton High School, Kimberly Rodriguez from In-Tech Academy, Shanice Smellie from DeWitt Clinton High School, Keyko Sanchez from Herbert H. Lehman High School, and Leslie Rivero from Bronx Center for Science & Mathematics. They talk about their experience in the program, and particularly share information about their ongoing research projects. The segment runs 10 minutes.
